Sid Mookerji is the Chief Executive Officer of SPI, a company he co-founded in 1994. Heading up an organization that employs more than 400 workers in various locations, Sid’s responsibilities include : creating a vision for the company’s future and setting the daily course for the company’s product and service delivery to clients.

Sid’s top priority is building and executing strategic plans to help make SPI’s services more customer-centric and profitable. Committed to building and maintaining a customer-focused IT services organization using an offshore/correct-shore development model, Sid enables technologies and processes to maximize productivity and quality, designing enterprise-wide systems to make executing large projects more transparent and predictable.

SPI has won the Excellence in Exports award from the Government of Karnataka for two years in a row: 2004 and 2005. SPI is also a CMMI Level 5 organization and is known for using sophisticated Web-based systems to rationalize and expedite delivery mechanisms. SPI’s proprietary project management tool, spiProject®, was created to provide clients with a real-time portal into all aspects of their projects’ management. Prior to founding SPI, Sid held positions with several large, highly respected and well-known IT players in the offshore outsourcing space. He has a B.E. from BITS Pilani and an MBA from Emory University.

Kumar Malavalli is entrepreneur, internationally renowned philanthropist, and visionary in the field of storage networks. He is inventor and the driving force behind Fibre Channel, an evolutionary technology that enabled the development of production-class storage area networks (SAN’s) and a multi-billion dollar market segment. In 1995 he co-founded Brocade Communications, a leading provider of storage area networking infrastructure, and served as its CTO for many years. From 2002 until June 2006 he was CEO of InMage Systems, a data protection company which he co-founded, and he is currently its Chairman of the Board and CSO. With its patent-pending technology, InMage is the pioneer of event-based disaster recovery and affordable data protection software, addressing the needs of companies who depend on the integrity of their backup and replication operations.

Kumar Malavalli also continues to be angel investor and mentor to numerous startups both in his field and in new fields like tele-medicine and nanotechnology. His vision of a global market prompted him to found Storage Networking Summit (SNS), an industry conference on storage and storage networking technologies that takes place annually in Bangalore India. As Chairman of SNS for the past four years, he has helped to connect the industry leaders of Silicon Valley with the vast new market and entrepreneurial spirit of India. Kumar’s philanthropy in the field of education extends from digital learning centers in rural India to our local institutions of higher education. He has established the Kumar Malavalli Endowed Chair in Storage Systems Research at UC Santa Cruz.

In 2003 the Silicon Valley Engineering Council (SVEC) recognized Kumar Malavalli’s contributions to technology and society by inducting him into the SVEC Hall of Fame. Other honors include the prestigious INCITS award for his leadership in the development of SAN industry standards while Chair of ANSI T11 Committee. He also served for many years on the boards of both the SNIA and FCIA. Kumar holds patents in Fibre Channel technology and he has degrees in electrical engineering and physics from the National Institute of Engineering in Mysore, India.

Attorney Sheela Murthy is the Founder, President and Managing Attorney of the prominent and prestigious Murthy Law Firm located in Baltimore County, Maryland.
